Lost Experience: Mathematical Forecasting Initiative

I just checked my RSS feeds as I got home and I noticed that the Hanso Foundation released three new newsitems! Now, two of them I think are a bit of a red-herring, one details their re-design, the other says they have had disruptions (which I think is a repeat, although I am not sure) and the last is the following:

If you head to the Mathematical Forecasting Initiative page, you can now see a MFI Forecast Map, which is very interesting apart that it seems some countries (Swipe to see which they are:USA, Italy and Sudan ) dont have the full details. You could always go and check out the CIA worldbook and get the details you need. Very interesting indeed. I will only post screenshots if you are all "Lost" you know!

    No worries!

    Its the least I can do since there is no more Lost for sooo long!

    We are watching the episode where the "TailEnders" are making their way to the "FrontEnder"'s beach.

    That's where the UK is at with the series... its really annoying!!!

    When does the new Series start? September?

    Season 3 starts in September (way too long my me and my g/f) it will run for 6 weeks (a mini-season) and this will end with a mini cliff hanger. Then the rest of the season will air in Feb 07 with the finale in May.

    Ehem, yeah.. in the US. I have been keeping up with the USA version since I am a complete addict... how? err.. telepathy? ;)

    i went to the CIA website and i input all the right info and another video came on. It was pretty cool. You should check it out. Look carefully at the little text boxes on the map to see what exactly it's asking for. Just click on all the icons to find which countries to look at.

    well i seem to have now figured some out, but not the USA, what seems to be the correct answer isnt working for me :<
    any clues ?

    Did you enter it and press the return button on your keyboard? I looked up the values in the CIA factbook

    I cant remember the values off the top of my head at the moment.

    I went to USA, ITALY, and SUDAN and in the blank spaces entered the info from the CIA site. And after each one i hit 'ENTER' or ('RETURN' depending on ur keyboard). And efter each one, it flashes, plays the wierd sound, and then a light takes the place of the text box. After all three something happens. I'll let u figure that out.

    thanks :) it took me ages to figure the usa one out... in the end i used google instead of the cia website lol...
