CFEclipse 1.3.1.6 Released

November 9, 2007 ·

I just wanted to post a note that this morning I did a release of CFEclipse 1.3.1.6. This is a bug-fix release, and has no extra features and is geared at some specific bugs: Its a very small release but people have been complaining about the FileExplorer so I thought I would get this version out. There are no other changes, so if these issues do not affect you, you do not need to upgrade.

Likewise dude, I have fallen in love with CFEclipise since moving from Dremweaver, an I'm probably only using 50% of it

    Cheers

    Thanks guys!

I am just wondering if to do a lot more smaller releases with specific bugs or features or do a big release every few months?

    What do you think?

if it's all the same amount of work, I would think more frequent (smaller) releases would be better, especially if it's a productivity killer.

Please fix word wrap line number bug and undo loses characters. Damn thats frustrating.

@eclipsebythemoon: I personally never thought it was an issue, since its a feature I barely use!

    Hi Mark,

You get major respect for continuing to produce such a top grade product for the CF community - great piece of work.

I don't currently use it however, and it all comes down to the tag completion functionality. I have been a long time user of Dreamweaver and love how fast the tag completion is.
As soon as you start a CF tag, the code completion popup is immediate without delay. Unfortunately I find that in CFEclipse there is often a delay when the code completion popup
appears and so I will press return to complete an attribute and I'm taken to the next line which is very frustrating.

Is this a limitation in Eclipse itself or is it something you think could be fixed in future versions.

I'm very keen to move to Eclipse with your superb plugin but until the code completion is faster I think I'm going to have to stay with DW.

Apologies if this a known issue and if there is already a workaround.

Dear fellows from CFEclipse. My suggestion is that the Option Source -> Format be enabled in CFEclipse. Is an wonderfull tool for quick developement.
    Good Work.

Is there a manual install for 1.3.1.6. Due to firewall issues, I cannot use the automatic install option :-(
