CFEclipse 1.3.1.5, now for Eclipse 3.3

How is that for a version number frenzy?

I have just put CFEclipse 1.3.1.5 up on the update site (http://www.cfeclipse.org/update) which you should have in your Eclipse Update sites.

Give it a whirl, it should now work nicely (or as much as I can test) with Eclipse 3.3

With testing in mind, I wonder how many people would be up for being testers of each release?

A tester would have a set number of features to test for each version/operating system, and would make my job of hunting down bugs a lot easier!

Anyway, have fun! And happy Fourth of July! (how to release something when its quiet eh?)

Peter Boughton's Gravatar Cool, been running on a pre-release 3.3 for a bit, and recently discovered that snippet variables didn't work... and now they do. :)

I'd be up for helping with testing, especially with a test-script or group of specific features to look at.

Raymond Camden's Gravatar Anyone else notice that Methods View doesn't seem to work for CFCs? Or is it just me?

Peter Boughton's Gravatar Works fine here. Is your CFML valid? (check the margins for red marks)

Raymond Camden's Gravatar Must have been a fluke. Seems ok now.

Raymond Camden's Gravatar Hmm. I'm getting an error trying to save my preferences. I can't turn on line numbers.

Eric Roberts's Gravatar I will be testing tomorrow to see how it works...

Mark Drew's Gravatar @Ray: I found the error, fixing now and you might have to uninstall and re-install the plugin (Software Updates -> Manage Configuration -> disable, restart, uninstall) as it will be a quick fix without version change

Ken Dunnington's Gravatar Thanks Mark, I've been using Europa for a week or two full-time and was really missing CFEclipse :) I'd also be happy to help test; running OS X here.

Dennis Spaag's Gravatar I am using Eclipse 3.2. With the latest CFEclipse, I am getting a ClassNotFoundException for org.cfeclipse.cfml.editors.CFMLEditor. I installed the update using the updater; I went ahead and uninstalled all versions of CFEclipse and reinstalled this one. Same message. Thanks.

Luis Majano's Gravatar Count me in for testing.

paulh's Gravatar i did the 1.3.1.5 uninstall dance & got back the cf toolbar (cfquery, etc.) but no line numbers (in fact the whole left "gutter" seems to be missing from CFC files--regular cf pages work fine) or outline & methods views.

any ideas?

Brendan's Gravatar is the 1.3.1.5 release still publicly available?
# Posted By Brendan | 7/6/07 10:12 AM
paulh's Gravatar it looks like it's only happening w/CFCs that i open outside of a project via file open--these are part of a flex project.

@ray, is that what you see?

any ideas?

Dwayne Cole's Gravatar So what's the new. Or are the benifits of ugrading Eclipse to 3.3. Does the CFEclipse update come with additional features or does it just makes CFEclipse compatible with Eclipse

Daniel Gilbert's Gravatar Can I get an URL to the zip for download because I can't use esclipse to updates.

Luis Majano's Gravatar Don't know if you know this, but when within cfscript, the scope insights do not work. The function insights work though.

todd sharp's Gravatar I'm a little late to the party, but I'd be happy to test if you need another tester. I figure I still owe you...

Russ's Gravatar The line numbers feature is still broken. It's on for me, and no way to turn it off, and off for my coworker with no way to turn it on. Weird...

Dennis Spaag's Gravatar Replying to my own earlier post: I was using the 1.4.x jvm. The new CFEclise does work with Eclipse 3.2 using the 1.5 or 1.6 jvm just fine. That is to say, I don't get the null pointer issue. Thanks.

Angie's Gravatar I would like to join in the testing if you are still allowing.

I don't see the 1.3.1.5 in the download though. :(

Dave's Gravatar Is there an offline download for 1.3.1.5 available anywhere? Our network folks block access to this through Eclipse...
